Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to Your Questions

  • HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

Once you’ve selected your preferred artist(s), you can use the contact form on the website (which is what we recommend).  This will enable us to process your request quickly and efficiently. You can also use the email addresses for each individual artist to contact them directly.

  • HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO GET A TATTOO?

You must be at least 18 years of age. Not only must you be 18, you have to prove it with a Photo ID, if requested. No exceptions.

  • WHERE CAN I PARK?

There is plenty of free street parking nearby.

  • DO YOU TAKE WALK INS?

No, sorry. As a private studio, all of our bookings are by appointment only.

  • HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?

Our shop MINIMUM is £100, but the final price varies depending on the detail, size, design, and placement on your body. Our standard day rate is £600 as a guide. We tend to charge a set price per piece. We also hire out the whole studio for extra privacy at an additional cost; please ask for more details.

  • DO YOU DO PIERCINGS?

Unfortunately, we don’t have a piercer working with us.

  • HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING A PRICE/QUOTE FOR MY TATTOO?

The best way to get an accurate price range is by booking a (free!) consultation with the artist—if not in person, then through a brief, detailed email. In order for us to quote your idea, we need to consider the subject, size, placement on the body, detail, etc.

  • CAN I BRING A FRIEND OR MY CHILDREN?

We operate out of a small space so you won’t be able to bring a group of people with you, but we will allow up to one person to accompany you as long as you notify us first. We operate a no minors policy so no kids allowed.

  • DOES IT HURT?

Yes! But in the best possible way. Your brain releases endorphins when you go through pain and your body loves endorphins, so yes, it hurts, but you’ll kinda like it.

  • WHAT FORM OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED?

We accept bank transfers but also take cash.

  • DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

  • Yes. A deposit is required to set up an appointment and deposit will vary depending on tattoo design. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable and will be applied to the final price of your tattoo.

  • IS THE STUDIO VEGAN FRIENDLY?

Yes it is. We make sure all of our inks and products are vegan friendly.

  • HOW DO I LOOK AFTER MY TATTOO ONCE I’VE HAD IT?

Every artist has their own opinion on how to look after a tattoo and you will be informed prior to your appointment and once you’ve had your tattoo. We also provide aftercare products in the studio which are vegan friendly.

  • HOW LONG DOES A TATTOO TAKE TO HEAL?

It takes one or two weeks to “heal,” but it takes 2-3 months for the skin to fully regenerate. But, depends on your skin and condition, it might take more than a few months since everyone has different types of skin.

  • WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO PREPARE FOR A TATTOO?

We recommend that you eat well before you come in, and remember to stay hydrated. If you start to feel woozy, have a full-fat fizzy drink. Sugar is your friend in this situation. We also recommend bringing snacks to nibble on throughout your tattoo if you’re in for a long session.
It’s best not to drink the night before because alcohol can increase bleeding for up to 24 hours. Blood also dilutes our pigments, affecting both the appearance of your tattoo as well as the healing process.
Getting a good night’s sleep can also make the world of difference as sleep deficit can make you more sensitive. Any kind of ailment can also do the same.
Remember to stay calm, you’re in good hands. There’s nothing to stress over—it’s just a tattoo!

  • DO YOU SELL ALL THE AFTERCARE PRODUCTS I’LL NEED?

We do sell a small range of aftercare products but we also recommend using cocoa butter, coconut oil or shea butter as suitable alternatives.

  • WILL I BE ABLE TO SEE MY DESIGN BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?

We design the tattoo with you so you can be a part of the process as much as you like, we allow plenty of time for any amendments to be made and these are best done face to face on the day. A lot of our work is done freehand on the day as the design will fit the body better this way.

  • DO YOU HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your appointment, please let us know as soon as you can. If you let us know with a week’s notice, we will transfer your deposit to your rearranged appointment (at our discretion). Failure to let us know with more than a week’s notice will mean you will need to pay another deposit should you wish to book in again. If you don’t show up to your appointment without giving us any notice will result in you not being booked in again at all.
